Commitment
Accessibility
Last updated: July 27, 2026
Museum Passport is committed to making cultural discovery accessible to everyone. This page describes the practices we follow and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.
Standards we design toward
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
Features we build
- Semantic HTML landmarks and keyboard-navigable interactions.
- Descriptive alt text on informational imagery.
- High-contrast type palette and visible focus states.
- Responsive layouts that work across screen sizes.
- Museum profiles surface accessibility details (wheelchair access, ASL tours, sensory-friendly hours) when provided by the institution.
Known limitations
Accessibility is ongoing work. Some legacy content, third-party embedded media, and user-submitted images may not yet meet our standards. We're actively improving these.
